Mrs. Apel

What is the purpose of homework club?
The purpose of the homework club is to provide a quiet and safe place for students to complete their homework after school. Students will be asked to remain quiet and work diligently on their assignments. All students who wish to participate will be allowed. However, students who are disruptive or do not use their time wisely may be asked not to participate.
Where and when will the homework club meet?
The club will meet in the library at 3:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting in October. Club sponsors may then choose to take the club to their individual classroom. The club will end at 4:15.
Will transportation be provided?
Students will be able to ride the activity bus on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It is strongly recommended that all students ride the activity buses, as this provides a timely departure for both students and the sponsor. It is very important for parents who are picking up their child to arrive promptly at 4:15. Otherwise, students will be sent home on the activity bus.
What do I need to participate in the homework club?
Students will need a Homework Club permission form signed by their parents to participate. Students will also need to sign up in the Homework Club binder each time they participate; the HW club sponsor for that day will have the binder in her classroom.
Who are the club sponsors?
This club is sponsored by the teachers listed below. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact them by email or call the school at (703) 753-9969
